Mother-to-be Tina O'Brien showed off her huge baby bump during a shopping trip with longterm boyfriend Ryan Thomas.

Blooming Tina, 25, is now in her eighth month of pregnancy and displayed her condition in a loose fitting T-shirt and jeans while out and about in Manchester.

The couple, who met on the set of Coronation Street, which Tina recently left, are preparing for the birth of their first child, who is due to arrive next month.

The pair have been dating for five years since Ryan played her on-screen husband Jason Grimshaw.

Since announcing their baby news in March Tina and Ryan are said to be bubbling over with excitement about the new arrival.

Looking very much in love, the pair held hands and kissed as they enjoyed a leisurely stroll.

She met boyfriend Ryan on the soap and the young couple have been dating for five years since he played her on-screen husband Jason Grimshaw.

Since announcing their baby news in March the couple are said to be bubbling over with excitement about the new arrival.

Former Coronation Street actress Tina O' Brien looked the picture of blooming health as she attended the opening night of musical extravaganza Afrika! Afrika! in Manchester last night.

The heavily pregnant 24-year-old looked just swell as she arrived at the show with boyfriend Ryan Thomas, 25, and revealed her growing bump.

Dressed casually in jeans and a beige printed top, the young mother-to-be opted for comfortable flats for her night out.

Tina who discovered she was expecting in April, looks in good health, but she recently admitted that she was worried when she first found out because she’d been drinking alcohol.

She told OK! magazine: 'When I first took the pregnancy test and it came up positive it was a massive shock.

‘But suddenly I was like, “God, I have to make sure it’s okay.” I’d even been drinking loads before!’

Boyfriend Ryan admitted to being shocked at the news. He said: 'When we first found out, we did think, are we ready?’

‘But all I know is I want to be with Tina for the rest of my life and Tina hopefully wants to be with me for the rest of her life and we definitely want to have a baby together.'

Tina is due to give birth early next year. The young couple, met on the soap and have been dating for 5 years.

Although Tina played young mother Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street,s he said it hasn't prepared her much for motherhood.

'It's taught me how to hold a baby! You don't really ever get a feel of what it's like to be a real mum until you are one.'

And although the couple revealed they would like to tie the knot off-screen one day, they have said there is no rush.

Tina told OK: 'We'd both definitely love to, but at the moment I'd have a nervous breakdown trying to organise such a big day. It's such a special day that I'd rather wait than panic about it.'

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien and television boyfriend Ryan Thomas are expecting their first child, it has been revealed.

The sexy soap star, who left the ITV show in December, is reportedly 12 weeks pregnant.

The pregnancy was unexpected but the couple are said to be "thrilled and excited" at the prospect of starting a family.

She had previously admitted her role as Corrie mum Sarah-Louise Platt had made her broody and that she was looking forward to having a family.

She said: "It makes me broody. One day I'd love to have a family."

The 24-year-old had planned to move to London to pursue other acting projects, while Thomas, who plays the Street's Jason Grimshaw, remained in Manchester.

But sources reveal that Tina has decided to stay in the north-west and plans to fit her acting career around motherhood.

Tina has had to turn down certain jobs as they involved action shots and she was concerned about risking her pregnancy.

"It may not be the best timing in terms of her career, but she loves Ryan and they know they can make it work," a friend told the Sun.

"Tina has a flat in Manchester but has bought a big house in Cheshire as she wants a quieter home better suited to having children."

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Ryan and Tina can confirm they are expecting a baby and absolutely delighted at the happy news."
